BL Sublett has been picking and singing for beer and chili since high school a half a hundred  years ago. Although he plays a lot of different kinds of music, his main inspiration goes back to  hearing Willie, Waylon, Jerry Jeff Walker and the rest of the Texas outlaws. He played in a brand new little beer joint on North Street called the Dixie Chicken back in 1974. He currently plays events and small venues around Lufkin, and occasionally releases original music on various streaming services.
